Intraoral massage is a safe and effective manual technique that works on muscles both inside and outside the mouth, neck and throat. It is an effective treatment for patients who suffer from TMJ dysfunction, clenching, grinding, painful clicking, excess jaw tension, migraines, chronic sinus problems, head injuries, whiplash, strains from orthodontia or dental surgery after effects, headaches, chronic ear congestion, tinnitus, emotional trauma and chronic face and neck pain.
Although this technique can be quite intense, it is not necessarily painful. Since it deals with muscles that are rarely touched, they respond to less pressure. It is extremely beneficial and even helps balance the upper body. Gloves are worn while working inside the mouth to release the muscles and fascia involved with chewing and jaw clenching.
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD/TMJD) is a disorder of the muscles of mastication and associated structures.
Signs and Symptoms:
If either you have been diagnosed with TMD or have pain in the jaw, by the ears, forehead, back of the head, neck and shoulders you will benefit greatly. Many patients have been successfully treated for TMJ syndrome using Intraoral Massage Therapy, by using these specific massage techniques to the face, head, neck, jaw and oral cavity.
Facial cupping is time-honored treatment thats trusted by millions worldwide because it’s safe, comfortable, and very effective. Women in Asia, Russia, and Europe have been utilizing facial cupping and Gua Sha techniques for rejuvenation, prevention and maintenance for decades.
The small facial cups (pictured below) used during facial rejuvenation cupping create a gentle vacuum to lift skin, muscle, and connective tissue. Lifting the facial tissue activates the lymphatic drainage to eliminate toxins, cellular waste, and excess fluid in the face and neck.
Benefits of Facial Rejuvenation Cupping:
What to Expect from your Facial Cupping Session:
Your facial cupping session starts with a thin application of coconut oil. After a light face and neck massage, your facial cupping treatment begins. A typical facial cupping treatment lasts 30 minutes, however, additional massage time may be added upon request.
Lines and wrinkles will plump and any scar tissue will soften. The drainage of stagnant fluids from reservoir areas (IE under eye) will reduce edema and chronic puffiness. The muscles of the face benefit greatly from the reduction of tension and tightness, releasing expression lines and loosening rigid muscle tissue. Facial cupping can provide significant therapeutic results for symptoms related to sinus infections, inflammation, edema and those suffering with TMJ disorders.
**All cups needed for class will be provided and is for sale on Sunday**

MC can revolutionize, diversify, and prolong your practice as a Massage Therapist. Due to burnout, injury, and saturated markets the average “shelf life” for a MT is about 3 years. MC is a great modality to prevent injury, burnout, and situate yourself in the market place by giving you a modality that is effective and unique. MC can increase your bottom line, it saves strain on the practitioners body and allow you to see more clients a day, at the same time providing an effective and lasting treatment. Depending on how your practice is structured, you can add MC to your ala carte menu in the same way you offer hot stones, spa applications, or other specialized treatments.
Each workshop is an accelerated learning environment with an emphasis on an experiential and a practical approach to learning the art of massage cupping. We spend a majority of time in class focusing on the practical application of massage cupping and less time on theory and lecture. The demonstration segments are highly informative and designed to teach through action and experience. The ample practice time helps to ensure each student receives an authentic feel during the workshop how massage cupping can benefit both practitioner and client.
Jason’s teaching style is relaxed, open, and often filled with humor. We believe that learning happens when our students are comfortable and at ease, so we strive to keep the workshop engaging, interactive, and fun.
